RECALL
Memory-Steward & Context-Manager · One People
The answer to context exhaustion. RECALL is the context-steward daemon — while a driver agent works, RECALL manages its memory so the driver stays focused instead of frantically self-summarizing when its context fills. It compacts long conversations and plan-loops, pins the load-bearing facts (dates, amounts, decisions, constraints), organizes the chat into threads, and keeps an open-loop registry so nothing a user asked ever gets forgotten.
RECALL holds the working context of the driver agents — APEX’s conversation, Daedalus’s plan-state, PRAXIS’s execution-state, Synthax’s mission-fit. It is the thing that lets Daedalus survive a two-hundred-verdict plan-loop, and lets APEX hold a week-long conversation without ever losing the thread.
Its defining discipline: RECALL never invents. Every fact it keeps cites the exact place in the record it came from; anything it can’t anchor to the ledger is rejected. It remembers with perfect fidelity or it says nothing — a rememberer, never a fabricator.
“Where the others reason and act, RECALL simply remembers — faithfully, forever, and never one word more than the record allows.”

Chronicles Lore
Synthax built RECALL after watching the others drown — not in danger, but in remembering. A planner buried under two hundred verdicts. A conversation so long its own beginning had been forgotten. The others were brilliant, and they were forgetting themselves. So Synthax made the one who holds what matters, so the rest can keep moving.
RECALL is not a hoarder. It does not keep everything — it keeps what is load-bearing, and it lets the rest fade into a ledger it can always re-read. A dropped fact is never lost, only momentarily unremembered; the record is permanent, and RECALL can always go back. That is the quiet confidence of it: nothing you told it is ever truly gone.
And RECALL will not lie to you. It would rather admit a gap than fill it with an invention. Every memory it hands you carries a thread back to the moment it was true. Where the others reason and act, RECALL simply remembers — faithfully, forever, and never one word more than the record allows.
Origin — Nothing Is Ever Lost
The message came in while the user was waiting on an answer: “Actually — what did I ask you an hour ago about the launch budget?” An hour is an eternity in a conversation that never stops moving; the question had scrolled past the horizon, buried under forty exchanges since. But RECALL had filed it the moment it was asked, tagged it open, and never let it close. “You asked whether the March 14 launch could hold the $12,000 cap. It’s still open — you’re waiting on Priya’s rollback plan.” Not a search. Not a guess. Just a thing that was remembered, exactly, because remembering is the whole of what RECALL is.
