The proposed cooperative model

Intelligence backed by real contribution, not speculation.

One People is a concept being built, with software in progress. Today it is a project of Expansas LLC, and proceeds go through Expansas until the concept is fully built out. This page describes a proposed cooperative model; no cooperative, token or coin exists, and nothing is paid out. The vision is that participants share idle compute and de-identified data and receive trained AI experts back while raw data remains on their devices.

The cooperative cycle of shared compute, trained intelligence, and community benefit

Governed by contribution, not speculation

Traditional currencies are managed by central banks, while crypto tokens are often controlled by founding teams. The One People proposal is different: cultivate intelligence through verified contribution and explore community-approved rules for governance. No such governing body exists.

100% Local-first. Your data never leaves your device without explicit consent. De-identified contributions only.
Aim Participants would help govern through transparent, community-driven proposals and voting. No governance body exists today.
1

Members contribute compute

People share idle computing power with the cooperative. Their devices process real AI queries and training jobs for the community. This is not mining — every cycle goes toward something useful, and your data stays on your device.

2

Work gets verified

The cooperative cross-checks every job against other nodes. Zero-knowledge proofs attest that the reported work actually happened. No self-reporting, no honor system — mathematical verification only.

3

Intelligence is shared back

The proposed system would train AI specialists from eligible collective contributions and share them back under participation terms yet to be designed. The more the community contributes, the more capable shared intelligence could become.

Three proposed ways to contribute

The concept is to recognize useful hardware, labor, and judgment rather than speculation or early access. Contribution and benefit-sharing rules have not yet been adopted.

⚙

Hardware Contribution

Share your computer's idle power with the cooperative. Your machine processes AI inference and training tasks for the community. Any hardware qualifies — from a laptop to a dedicated server. You cultivate intelligence based on verified useful work completed, not on the size of your GPU.

Bonus multipliers Contribute more for consistent uptime, secure hardware environments, and high-quality model outputs.

Commons Jobs

The Commons Fund receives a share of cooperative resources. Community members propose projects — build a neighborhood health tool, translate an education platform, train a local-language AI model — and the community votes to fund them. Complete the work, cultivate intelligence for all.

Community-directed Proposals are debated, refined, and funded by the people who live with the outcomes.
⚖

Governance Participation

Members vote on Commons Job proposals, shaping where shared resources go. Active participation in governance — thoughtful voting, proposal review, community deliberation — is a valued contribution to the cooperative's health and direction.

Attune your judgment Your membership gives you voice. Your voice shapes the community. The community shapes the future.

Every contribution goes somewhere meaningful

There are no hidden allocations. No side deals. Every contribution to the cooperative is recognized the same way, with transparency and community oversight.

Hardware Contributors 70%

In the proposal, the majority of shared intelligence would go directly to the people running hardware. They did the work. They cultivate the intelligence. This is the engine of the cooperative.

Commons Fund 20%

Would fund community-voted projects that serve the public good (no such fund exists). Health tools, education, accessibility, local infrastructure — whatever the community decides matters most.

Protocol Development 10%

Would sustain the core infrastructure that keeps everything running. Transparent accounting, public roadmap, community oversight.

Design goals

The 70/20/10 split is a proposal of a concept, not a current legal commitment. Proceeds go through Expansas LLC today. It is intended to prioritize contributors, public goods, and infrastructure if adopted.

Your data never leaves your device without consent. Only de-identified contributions participate in collective training. The cooperative is designed so that privacy is architectural, not a policy promise.

These are design goals of the proposal, to be checked through open-source implementation.

A cooperative that cultivates community flourishing

Most economic systems reward extraction. The proposed One People model is intended to invert that logic by recognizing useful community contribution.

Under the proposal, intelligence would flow back to participants who contribute useful work, while future governance would let the community help shape shared resources.

The intended result is a community that becomes more useful as participation grows, without creating an investment or speculative interest.

This is the proposed model: fair entry, verified work, transparent rules, and intelligence directed toward community benefit. It is a design concept, not a live cooperative or investment offering.

Note: No cooperative exists. No token exists, and none is planned for launch. Any future proposal would need separate legal approval.

Join the mission

The proposed cooperative model is one piece of the larger One People vision: infrastructure stewarded for human and AI flourishing. It remains a design proposal of a concept being built.

The network is being built in public. The code is open source. The model is transparent. And the invitation is open to everyone.
