One People is currently an Expansas project developing a proposed nonprofit cooperative model, not a cryptocurrency. The vision is that participants share idle compute and de-identified data and receive trained AI experts back while raw data remains on their devices.

Governed by contribution, not speculation

Traditional currencies are managed by central banks, while crypto tokens are often controlled by founding teams. The One People proposal is different: cultivate intelligence through verified contribution and place future governance under a nonprofit board and community-approved rules. Those institutions do not yet exist.

Members contribute compute

People share idle computing power with the cooperative. Their devices process real AI queries and training jobs for the community. This is not mining — every cycle goes toward something useful, and your data stays on your device.

Work gets verified

The cooperative cross-checks every job against other nodes. Zero-knowledge proofs attest that the reported work actually happened. No self-reporting, no honor system — mathematical verification only.

Intelligence is shared back

The proposed system would train AI specialists from eligible collective contributions and share them back under board-approved participation terms. The more the community contributes, the more capable shared intelligence could become.

The future nonprofit is intended to recognize useful hardware, labor, and judgment rather than speculation or early access. Contribution and benefit-sharing rules have not yet been adopted.

Share your computer's idle power with the cooperative. Your machine processes AI inference and training tasks for the community. Any hardware qualifies — from a laptop to a dedicated server. You cultivate intelligence based on verified useful work completed, not on the size of your GPU.

Commons Jobs

The Commons Fund receives a share of cooperative resources. Community members propose projects — build a neighborhood health tool, translate an education platform, train a local-language AI model — and the community votes to fund them. Complete the work, cultivate intelligence for all.

Community-directed Proposals are debated, refined, and funded by the people who live with the outcomes.

Every contribution goes somewhere meaningful

There are no hidden allocations. No side deals. Every contribution to the cooperative is recognized the same way, with transparency and community oversight.

Hardware Contributors 70%

The majority of shared intelligence goes directly to the people running hardware. They did the work. They cultivate the intelligence. This is the engine of the cooperative.

Commons Fund 20%

Funds community-voted projects that serve the public good. Health tools, education, accessibility, local infrastructure — whatever the community decides matters most.

Protocol Development 10%

Sustains the core infrastructure that keeps everything running. Transparent accounting, public roadmap, community oversight.

The hard promises

The 70/20/10 split is a proposal for future nonprofit review, not a current legal commitment. It is intended to prioritize contributors, public goods, and infrastructure if adopted.

Why It Matters

Most economic systems reward extraction. The proposed One People model is intended to invert that logic by recognizing useful community contribution.

Under the proposal, intelligence would flow back to participants who contribute useful work, while future governance would let the community help shape shared resources.

The intended result is a nonprofit community that becomes more useful as participation grows, without creating an investment or speculative interest.

This is the proposed model: fair entry, verified work, transparent rules, and intelligence directed toward community benefit. It is a design for future nonprofit governance, not a live cooperative or investment offering.

Roadmap note: Neither a legal cooperative nor a token economy is operating today. The nonprofit and cooperative model comes first. Any future token proposal would require separate legal, board, and community review.
