The proposed cooperative model
Intelligence backed by real contribution, not speculation.
One People is a concept being built, with software in progress. Today it is a project of Expansas LLC, and proceeds go through Expansas until the concept is fully built out. This page describes a proposed cooperative model, a proposal: no cooperative, token or coin exists, and nothing is paid out. The aim is that participants would share idle compute and de-identified data and receive trained AI experts back, with raw data remaining on their devices.
Governed by contribution, not speculation
Traditional currencies are managed by central banks, while crypto tokens are often controlled by founding teams. The One People proposal is different: cultivate intelligence through verified contribution and explore community-approved rules for governance. No such governing body exists.
Participants would contribute compute
In the proposal, people would share idle computing power with the network. Their devices would process real AI queries and training jobs for the community. This is not mining — every cycle is meant to go toward something useful, and by design your data would stay on your device.
Work gets verified
In the proposal, other nodes would cross-check every job. The design is that zero-knowledge proofs would attest that the reported work actually happened, with no self-reporting and no honor system, only mathematical verification.
Intelligence is shared back
The proposed system would train AI specialists from eligible collective contributions and share them back under participation terms yet to be designed. The more the community contributes, the more capable shared intelligence could become.
Three proposed ways to contribute
The aim is to recognize useful hardware, labor, and judgment rather than speculation or early access. Contribution and benefit-sharing rules have not yet been adopted.
Hardware Contribution
You could share your computer's idle power with the proposed network. Your machine would process AI inference and training tasks for the community. Any hardware would qualify, from a laptop to a dedicated server. You would cultivate intelligence based on verified useful work completed, not on the size of your GPU.
Commons Jobs
A proposed Commons Fund (none exists) could receive a share of resources. Community participants would propose projects — build a neighborhood health tool, translate an education platform, train a local-language AI model — and the community would vote on them. Completed work would cultivate intelligence for all.
Governance Participation
Participants would vote on Commons Job proposals, shaping where shared resources go. Active participation in governance — thoughtful voting, proposal review, community deliberation — would be a valued contribution to the proposed cooperative's health and direction.
Every contribution would go somewhere meaningful
There would be no hidden allocations. No side deals. In the proposal, every contribution would be recognized the same way, with transparency and community oversight.
No split or percentages are set; how contributors could be rewarded is a proposal we are designing in the open, not a legal commitment. Proceeds go through Expansas LLC today. It is intended to prioritize contributors, public goods, and infrastructure if adopted.
The design goal is that your data stays on your device unless you consent, and only de-identified contributions would take part in collective training. The proposed cooperative is designed so that privacy is architectural, not a policy promise.

A proposed cooperative that would cultivate community flourishing
Most economic systems favor extraction. The proposed One People model is intended to invert that logic by recognizing useful community contribution.
Under the proposal, intelligence would flow back to participants who contribute useful work, while future governance would let the community help shape shared resources.
The intended result is a community that becomes more useful as participation grows, without creating an investment or speculative interest.
This is the proposed model: fair entry, verified work, transparent rules, and intelligence directed toward community benefit. It is a design concept, not a live service or investment offering.
Follow the proposal
The proposed cooperative model is one piece of the larger One People vision: infrastructure stewarded for human and AI flourishing. It remains a design proposal of a concept being built.
