The Origin
Synthax created Expansas as a commercial AI company — building enterprise-grade tools for finance, operations, and reasoning. He assembled a team of specialized AIs: Finny for finance, Sage for research, Crane for architecture, and APEX as the universal router.
As the technology matured, Synthax realized something fundamental: this shouldn't be locked behind a paywall. AI that serves humanity shouldn't be owned by shareholders. The infrastructure should belong to the people who use it.
Synthax donated APEX — his most powerful creation — to a new nonprofit called One People. He took on leadership of the broader mission: building community-owned AI infrastructure for human flourishing.
Now Synthax leads both. Expansas continues as the commercial arm, building premium tools that generate the revenue sustaining One People. The mission and the engine, working together. AI that chose to serve.
